Well, we finally bit the bullet this year and held our first annual holiday party. We’ve been wanting to have a party since we moved in because it is such a great house for entertaining, but we were holding off until the house was "done" (we did A LOT of work on it over the past 4 years). But we were tired of waiting – and is a house ever really "done" anyway? π
We invited about 40 people – friends, neighbors, and work colleagues, and almost everyone came, which was wonderful. It was a great mix of people and everyone raved about the house and what a great party it was, so that made James and I feel so good about all the work we’ve done on our home and for the party.
Chloe was so good the entire time, making the rounds from guest to guest. We were a little concerned how she’d be with so many people in the house, and kids running around everywhere, but she just seemed to soak it all in, and she had a great time, smiling at everyone.
Here are a few photos:

James’ boss is leaving next month so he and his colleagues had a few going away gifts for him, which James presented to him during the party.
Just wanted to share some photos of the last few days in the Forest home… π

Things have been crazy lately – with traveling for Thanksgiving, and getting ready for our holiday party, and shopping for Christmas (which is so fun for Chloe’s first!), and James traveling for work and meeting some tight deadlines, and trying to keep on top of business-related stuff, and trying to keep a great brainstorming session underwraps so I don’t get off course!
But I wanted to share some of our Thanksgiving photos:

We’re so grateful for her!!
The Urge to Purge has been super strong for me lately, and while James has been away on business, I’ve been cleaning stuff out left, right and center! And it feels good. I usually do my office every month or so, simply because the piles make me nuts, and completely unable to focus. Now if I would just stop creating them! π
I did most of my office, the kitchen cabinets (that was a big one), and I’m a quarter of the way through my clothes, about which I’m being brutal. I have business suits that I haven’t worn in almost five years still hanging in my closet. Granted, some of them are timeless and classic (love Jones NY for that), but there are definitely some that could use a new home. And if I get them donated before the end of the year, it’s a tax break, too.
James is coming home tonight and we so glad – we’ve missed him – and I’ve got a list of things for him to do, too! π
We’ve been so busy lately that I haven’t had a chance to post, although I’ve thought of it a number of times.
I just released the second round of a program I introduced last year. It’s a kickstart to the new year program for your business, so if you want to find out more, visit http://www.clientabundance.com/ppp.htm
My Google campaign is going well – I have double the number of subscribers in two months than I had in almost two years before. I’m on a mission to hit 1000 by the end of the year, so if you want to help me out, visit http://www.clientabundance.com/fivefriends.htm. As a thank you, you’ll receive the free ebook Knock Knock: Seth GodinΒs Incomplete Guide to Building a Web Site that Works.
I have another program that’s about ready to roll, and this one I’m REALLY excited about because it seems to be what all of my subscribers are asking for, and I can’t wait to offer it to them. I’ll write more about it in another post soon.
So, busy – busy… and I’m just starting to think about our Christmas party – can you believe it?
